Kamen Rider and Super Sentai Composer Eiji Kawamura Passes at 78


It has been announced that toku and anime composer Eiji Kawamura passed away last week on Monday the 13th of May at the age of 78. The news comes from Kamen Rider Black RX intro singer Takayuki Miyauchi and Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger lyricist Neko Oikawa as they both took to Twitter to announce the passing.

Eiji was best known for composing for several Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series dating back to 1987 when he first joined the Tokusatsu musical landscape with his work on Kamen Rider Black. Neko lamented the loss of Eiji along with previous collaborators on Yashiki Takajin's Tokyo, confessing she feels lonely now that she’s the last left of their creative group.
