A Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger prequel spin-off has been announced for release via the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club later this year. Announced on Sunday the 18th, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Formation Lap: Cleaner of the Galaxy will focus on Yu Miyazawa’s character of Sakito Komura (Bun Violet) from the main series in the days leading up to his appearance in the show’s 16th episode.
Alongside Sakito will be Natsuki Hanae who plays the mech sidekick Byun Diesel and Satoru Soma’s Genba Bureki (Bun Orange). The plot is looking to take place on planet Bureki, focused on the trio’s relationship before becoming official Boonboomgers. The episode will be penned by series writer Natsumi Morichi and directed by Hiroyuki Kato, who directed the Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger VS King-Ohger film released earlier this year.
