Upcoming anime feature The Last Blossom has been acquired for
UK distribution by Anime Limited and will see theatrical release before hitting
Blu-Ray. The movie comes from Studio CLAP, most known for their work on
projects like Pompo the Cinephile and recently released The Tunnel to Summer, the
Exit of Goodbyes.
The story follows a dying yakuza as he lay in a jail cell awaiting his final moments. He’s visited by a flower that wispers to him “What a pathetic life” before he begins to reflect on his past. The much anticipated film is set to premiere at Annecy International Film Festival later this year.
