Kamen Rider Kuuga star Joe Odagiri will be returning to the Kamen Rider franchise for the first time since Kamen Rider Kuuga ended in 2001. The star has been noticeably absent from Kamen Rider media since Kuuga’s end but will return at the 25th Anniversary Exhibition. While Kuuga has appeared in media since, Joe himself has not been in the role due to a personal dislike of the tokusatsu genre.
Joe’s role in the exhibition will be as a narrating audio guide for the showing. The star has previously discussed his happiness with how Kuuga turned out and the strong friendships he developed while working on the series. This appreciation and friendship with Exhibition lead and Kuuga series producer Shigenori Takatera may be the reason for his return for the celebration.
